The Postman just happens to be Songwriters Steve & Heather Taylor’s real postman “Zutes”. Steve had played everything on the single but needed a sax to complete it, hence the postman. Whilst delivering a parcel from Ebay one day the postman said “I buy things from Ebay, mainly mouthpieces for my sax”. Steve said “you play sax! Have you ever played for anyone I’d know?. He replied, “only a few local people, oh and I did couple of tours with The Drifters and Jimmy James and the Vagabonds”. Steve was amazed as he’d been looking for a sax player for ages and then one turned up at the front door! It had to be fate! and this is the result, an old fashioned Rock n’ Roll “Spectorish” Christmas Track which is a new version of the Top Twenty Hit by Daniel O’Donnell written by Steve & Heather Taylor.
